我已经在台北大概两个月了。虽然还不算是无忧无虑的生活，但跟我的欧洲朋友相比，我的生活还过得相当正常。在防疫方面，台湾走了在最前面。台湾采取了一系列果断的措施，例如禁止外国人入境，强制有出国史的人和与患者接触者接受隔离，进行广泛的病毒检测并呼吁人民保持社交距离。幸运的是，我们还可以享受台北的生活，比如说可以逛夜市，参观寺庙并去爬山。
在我看来，夜市是台北生活中的一个不可或缺的部分。台北的夜市有各种各样的食物，从炸鸡和葱抓饼到日式厚烧松饼和鸡蛋仔，夜市的小吃应有尽有。我最喜欢的是饶河夜市因为那里有很多人间美味，比如福州胡椒饼。对我来说，饶河夜市真是人间天堂。 绝大多数的夜市位于寺庙附近。在北京，我去了很多道教和佛教寺庙但对我来说，台北寺庙的建筑风格有许多新奇之地。这是因为北京的寺庙受到了蒙古族和满族的影响而台北的寺庙跟南方沿海地区，特别是福建，的寺庙建筑风格更相近。
我很喜欢住在一个离大自然靠近的地方，所以台北的生活对我很合适。上个周末我跟一个朋友一起去阳明山国家公园爬山了。虽然在最初天气非常恶劣，寒风刺骨，但一个小时之后，大风平息了，太阳出来了。最让我过目不忘的是那里所谓的‘避牛桩’。因为出现紊乱行为的野性水牛出没于阳明山，所以公园人员建造这些避牛桩来保护参观者。
总之，这里的生活过得相当幸福。我平常日锲而不舍地学习中文，周末探索台北举世闻的名夜市和名胜古迹。
I’ve already been in Taipei for about 2 months. Although life here doesn’t count as entirely care free, in comparison to my friends in Europe, life here is still fairly normal. On the disease prevention front, Taiwan leads the way. Taiwan has adopted a range of decisive measures . For example, they have banned foreigners from entering, obligated people who have travel history abroad or who have come into contact with carriers to isolate, carried out widespread virus testing and called on the people to maintain social distancing. Luckily, we are still able to enjoy Taipei life, for example by wandering through the job nightmarkets, visiting temples and going hiking.
In my opinion, night markets are an essential part of Taipei life. Taipei nightmarkets have all sorts of food. From fried chicken and congzhuabing (a bit like an omelette/ pancake, normally with something savoury inside) to Japanese style souffle pancakes and egg waffles, they have it all! My favourite is Raohe because it has lots of delicious, local favourites like the Fuzhou pepper buns. In my opinion, Raohe is heaven on earth! The vast majority of night markets are located next to temples. In Beijing, I went to lots of Daoist and Buddhist temples, but to me, there are lots of different things about architectural style of Taipei’s temples. This is because Beijing’s temples have been influenced by Mongolians and Manchus whilst the architectural style of Taipei’s temples is closer to that of coastal Southern China, especially Fujian.
I really like living in a place that is close to nature so life in Taipei suits me. Last week, a friend and I went to Yangmingshan National Park to hike. Although the weather was terrible with the wind so cold it pierced to the bone, after an hour the wind calmed down and the sun came out. The most unforgettable thing were the so called ‘avoid the cow bollards’. The park staff built these bollards to protect tourists vecahse there are unpredictable wild water buffalos indigenous to Yangmingshan.
Overall, life here is pretty good. On the weekdays I keep chipping away at learning Chinese whilst in the evenings and weekends I explore Taipei’s world renown nightmarkets and famous sights.
