Un mese dopo il mio soggiorno qui a Milano e la vita sta prendendo un ritmo. Ho mantenuto le mie passeggiate mattutine nel lavoro, che mi sono divertito così tanto durante il mio soggiorno a Firenze e inizio ogni giorno attraversando il quartiere dei Navigli per entrare nello studio di design. Dopo una mattinata trascorsa a disegnare, fare ricerche o elaborare nuovi progetti con il resto del team, ci sistemiamo insieme per un pranzo condiviso in cucina. A causa del fatto che il team è ancora molto piccolo con la ricostruzione del marchio così graduale, abbiamo delle belle chiacchierate sulla vita a Milano e ricevo molti consigli su come trascorrere il mio tempo libero qui.
Finora, ho deciso di visitare le attrazioni più lontane dai sentieri battuti ed evitare la folla. Finora ho visitato il Monumentale, un enorme cimitero situato nel nord della città, pieno di storia milanese e 
architettura sontuosa. Questo è uno spettacolo meno popolare da vedere rispetto allo scenario standard del Duomo/Galleria, ma sembra molto tranquillo e isolato dal trambusto del resto della città.
Famoso per il suo gran numero di tombe e monumenti artistici, il cimitero di 62 acri è un ottimo posto in cui perdersi. Questo è anche un luogo per conoscere la storia della città e le persone che ha ospitato. Tuttavia, dopo un pomeriggio esplorando i terreni da solo, ero pronto per incontrare i miei amici nella Chinatown di Milano, che si trova nelle vicinanze, per mangiare, chiacchierare e ridere!
One month into my time here in Milan and life is settling into a rhythm. I have kept my morning walks into work, which I enjoyed so much during my time in Florence and start each day crossing the Navigli canal district to get into the design studio. After a morning spent either drawing, researching or working through new projects with the rest of the team, we settle down together for a shared lunch in the kitchen. Due to the fact that the team is still very small with the rebuild of the brand being so gradual, we have some great chats about life in Milan and I receive many recommendations on how to spend my free time here.
So far, I have made a point to visit the attractions further out from the beaten track and avoid the crowds. So far, I have visited Monumentale which is a huge cemetery based in the north of the city and is packed full of Milanese history and ornate architecture. This is a less popular sight to see than the standard Duomo/ Galleria scenery, but it feels very tranquil and isolated from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the city.
Famous for its large number of artistic tombs and monuments, the 62-acre cemetery is a great place to get lost in. This is also a place to learn about the history of the city and the people that it has been a home to. However, after an afternoon exploring the grounds by myself, I was ready to meet my friends in Milan’s Chinatown which is situated close by for some food, chats and laughs!
