Il mese scorso è stato un altro mese fortemente concentrato sul lavoro e sui preparativi per la nostra sfilata di
moda a Parigi che sarà all’inizio di marzo. I miei weekend li ho trascorsi in studio a lavorare con il team per la realizzazione della nuova collezione. C’è qualcosa di estremamente eccitante nel lavorare per una sfilata di moda, la mia seconda in assoluto dopo che ho sfilato a Firenze durante l’estate, all’interno di un grande team.
Come prima cosa, in queste fasi prima dello show ci concentriamo sul perfezionamento dei disegni dei nostri vestiti e sulla raggruppare le idee. Questo ci permette di avere una panoramica di come la collezione apparirà alla stampa e verrà venduta nei negozi. Speriamo che il duro lavoro venga ripagato! Ad ogni modo, mi sto ancora davvero godendo ogni aspetto del lavoro e sono entusiasta di alzarmi dal letto la mattina e andare in studio.
Altrimenti, quando trovo un po’ di tempo per me stessa, lo passo esplorando la città. Questo di solito avviene durante le passeggiate mattutine con la mia macchina fotografica per le strade secondarie e fuori dai sentieri battuti. In un luogo di lavoro così industriale e frenetico come Milano, mi piace trovare le tranquille zone residenziali per catturare la luce del mattino sugli edifici e visitare nuovi caffè. Mi riporta ai miei momenti più tranquilli trascorsi esplorando Firenze!
This past month has been another focused heavily on work and preparations towards our fashion show in Paris at the beginning of March. My weekends have been spent in the studio working with the team
towards the realization of the new collection. There is something extremely exciting about working towards a fashion show, my second ever having showed in Florence over the summer, within a large team.
As before, focus in these stages of the run up to the catwalk is on perfecting the designs of our clothes and gathering the work together. This allows for us to get an overview of how the collection will look to the press and sell in the shops. Hopefully, the hard work will pay off! Either way, I am still really enjoying every aspect of the work and am excited to get out of bed in the morning and head into the studio.
Otherwise, when I find some time to myself, I spend it exploring more of the city. This is usually through early morning walks with my camera around the backstreets and off the beaten track. In such an industrial and busy working place as Milan, I like to find the quiet residential areas to catch the morning light on the buildings and visit new cafes. It takes me back to my more quiet moments spent exploring in Florence!
