Este mes fui a la exposición japonesa que estaba en el Palacio de Cibeles hasta los finales de enero. La exposición me cayó muy bien y me ofreció una gran visión de la antigua cultura japonesa desde la perspectiva española. Al ir con mis amigos españoles, averigué de sus opiniones y de lo que han aprendido en la educación española hasta ahora sobre Japón y su profunda historia.
Interior del Palacio
Para mí, que tengo un gran interés en la historia antigua internacional, la exposición fue perfecta para entender cómo funcionaba la sociedad japonesa en el pasado. Me interesan mucho los samuráis, me parecen muy chulos, en particular sus armaduras, porque se parecen como los demonios míticos y otras criaturas feroces. Además, suelen ser de diferentes colores según la tribu y el rango del samurái. Las elegantes armaduras de los samuráis también iban acompañadas de sus largas espadas. Para ver las famosas espadas samurái que he visto en muchas películas era fascinante. Las obras de arte japonesas que representaban a los samuráis en la batalla eran también muy vistosas y utilizaban muchos colores brillantes para mostrar su elegancia. Me encantó ver las adaptaciones de los samuráis en su arte local y cómo evolucionaron con el tiempo, como también evolucionó el arte en general.
Espada Samurai
La exposición se celebró en un edificio muy bonito llamado Palacio de Cibeles que es muy grande tanto por dentro como por fuera, fue un placer estar dentro de un lugar tan famoso de Madrid que había construido a principios del siglo XX. Estar dentro del edificio me permitió ser testigo de la grandeza de la arquitectura española, así como de la belleza y la riqueza de la historia japonesa.
This month, I went to the Japanese exposition that was occurring in the Cibeles Palace until the end of January. The exposition was extremely interesting to me, and offered me a great insight into the ancient Japanese culture from a Spanish perspective. Going with my Spanish friends, I learnt of their opinions and what they have learnt in Spanish education so far about Japan and it’s profound history.
To me, having a stron
g interest in international ancient history, the exposition was perfect for me to understand how Japanese society operated in the past. I am very interested in the Samurai’s, I find them really cool, in particular their armour, because they resemble mythical demons and other ferocious creatures. Furthermore, they often come in different colours based on the tribe and ranking of the Samurai. The fancy armour that the Samurai had were also accompanied by their long swords. To see the famous Samurai swords that i saw in many films was fascinating. The Japanese artwork that depicted Samurais in battle was also very colourful, using many bright colours to display their elegance. I loved seeing the adaptations of Samurai in their local art and how it evolved over time, as art in general also evolved.
The exposition was held in a very beautiful building called the Palacio de Cibeles which is very grand both inside and out, it was a pleasure to be inside such a famous place in Madrid that had been built in the early 20th century. Being inside the building allowed me to witness thegrandeur of Spanish architecture as well as the beauty and richness of Japanese history.
